Just before 1:00 pm Monday, units from Illinois Valley Fire District and Oregon Department of Forestry responded to a grass fire on Laurel Rd.
When Illinois Valley Fire District command arrived at the scene it was changed to a structure fire spreading into the wildland.
The fire was assessed as a guest house, out buildings, a vehicle, and 2 ATVs.
Illinois Valley Fire District firefighters with the help of Rural Metro knocked the fire down quickly. The wildland portion was held to ¼ acre by the Oregon Department with the help of U.S. Forest Service.
