Across the western U.S. hot and dry conditions are expected to persist through the early part of the week.
Temperatures are expected to increase from above-normal on Monday to much above-normal by Tuesday across northern California and the Pacific Northwest. An Excessive Heat Watch is in effect for inland portions of southwestern Oregon and northwestern California, where temperatures are expected to climb into the triple digits on Tuesday.

High temperatures from the upper 90s to around 108 are expected on Tuesday, then just a few degrees lower on Wednesday. Overnight lows into Wednesday morning in the 60s will also be much higher than normal.
Most of Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, and Siskiyou counties including Roseburg, Medford, Grants Pass, and Yreka are expected to have very high temperatures and limited relief overnight.
