Early Work Week Rain Followed by Warm Temperatures into Mid-Week

Upper level energy and the northwest winds of late last week have produced a system pushing onshore that began producing rain over much of the region Sunday, and is expected to continue into Monday with possible heavy rain and mild temperatures to start the work week.

Areas inland can expect precipitation through Monday morning, dissipating by afternoon as partly cloudy skies take over and continue through the work week. Temperatures are expected to remain mild, however, warming as the week continues with afternoon highs getting into the mid 90’s by midweek.

Coastal areas will see rain continue into Sunday evening, heavy at times before giving way to partly cloudy skies Monday afternoon. Partly cloudy skies will turn to mostly sunny skies as the week progresses with mild temperatures continuing into mid week with highs in the upper 70’s and lows in the upper 40’s.
