Illinois Valley Fire District first responders and firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire early Thursday morning near Cave Junction at 5:30am.
Units arrived to the scene and observed an outbuilding fully consumed in flames and were able to suppress the flames in an initial attack, and contain the fire to the single structure.
The Illinois Valley Fire District was assisted by American Medical Response and units from Rural Metro Fire provided mutual aid to the Fire District with coverage.
After firefighters completed mop-up of the fire, the incident was released to those on scene, while the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
