Rural Metro Fire Department and several surrounding agencies including Illinois Valley Fire District, Grants Pass Fire Rescue, the Oregon State Police and Josephine County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of an explosion.
The reported explosion was reportedly heard and felt throughout a neighborhood just off of Redwood Hwy. 199, near Wonder just after 3:00am, very early Thursday morning, November 17th.
Multiple agencies converged on the scene, confirming the house was completely displaced and on fire. Firefighters and medics focused initial attention on treatment of the injured, that included burns and trauma and the fire was quickly fully extinguished soon after the 3 occupants were transported to the hospital with various injuries.
Investigators are actively working to determine the cause of the blast.
