Early Thursday evening, October 17th, an earthquake struck off the northwestern coast just before 6:00pm.
The quake struck approximately 45 miles northeast of Coos Bay, initially measuring 5.0 on on the Richter Scale and just over 6 miles deep.
The tremor did not developed a Tsunami, or Tsunami warnings.
