A drastic change in the weather is forecast for the weekend as low pressure moves into the area late Friday night and into Saturday.
After a period of hot temperatures, cooler temperatures by as much as 20 degrees will accompany a Pacific storm system that is forecast to soak the Pacific Northwest with periods of rain on Saturday.
This system is expected to bring significant rainfall, possibly challenging some daily record totals for areas west of the Cascades with strong winds possible east of the Cascades and chances for thunderstorms late Friday through the day Saturday.
