Just after 2:30pm, Sunday afternoon, a vehicle with 5 occupants, 2 dogs and 4 puppies was hit from behind from a distracted driver on Redwood Hwy. 199 near the Wonder General Store.
Despite a language barrier with occupants of both vehicles, it was determined by rescue crews that only one person from the loaded vehicle needed transport from non life-threatening injuries by American Medical Response, and all others denied injury.
One of the dogs, described as small & white with black spots, ran from the crash scene and is assumed to be wandering around the Wonder area near the store.
Anyone with information can report to the Rural Metro Fire Station in Wilderville.
