DNA Helps Solve Year Old Robbery Case

On April 1st, 2018, at 8:11 a.m., a masked male, armed with a knife, robbed the Woodland Heights Market in Medford. The robber fled the scene prior to police arrival, but officers found a discarded item worn by the suspect during the robbery, in the neighborhood nearby.

The evidence was seized and processed for forensic evidence. Ultimately, Oregon State Police Crime Lab technicians were able to link DNA on the item to Andrew Kyle Beck, 23, who is a convicted felon and on probation for Burglary.
