Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call late Thursday evening, August 18th, regarding reports of a subject with a gun shot wound in the driveway of a private compound at the north end of Maiden Lane, in Crescent City.
Upon the arrival of Deputies, Fire and Medical units, the victim was pronounced deceased, and due to a pending next of kin notification and the ongoing homicide investigation no further details can be released at this time.
This case is actively being investigated by the Del Norte County District Attorney’s Office Investigation Unit and the California Department of Justice.
