According to a press release from the Curry County Public Health Administrator Sherrié Ward, effective Friday, January 15th, Curry County will be moving from Extreme Risk to Moderate Risk under the state’s framework for assessing the risked posed by the spread of COVID-19.
This level will be effective from Friday, January 15th, to January 28th. It means that the governor will allow Curry COunty to ease restrictions on some business and personal activities.
County Public Health encourages everyone to please remember it is important that we all follow the OHA and CDC guidelines and Governor’s directives about social distancing, wearing facial coverings in public buildings and protecting yourselves by staying home if you are ill in order to slow the spread and save lives.
Even though we are allowed to move to moderate level per OHA, this level can change with any spike or surge in positive cases. OHA will determine the risk level based on the information provided to the state and according to OHA Guidelines.
