According to a Thursday morning Press Release from Curry County, beginning in the early hours of Wednesday, April 26th, Curry County offices began to experience difficulty accessing internal documents.
IT was called and responded on-site immediately. It was determined that the Curry County server network was compromised and that all County departments have been affected.
The County IT team is working with outside consultants to address this issue and a forensic team has been contacted to determine its origin.
The network disruption is affecting current workflow, so the county asks the public for patience as it works through the situation. Currently County staff’s access to records is very limited at this time.
Telephone service is un-interrupted but email communications are not operating at capacity and there may be delays in response.
When additional information has been gathered and verified it will be shared with the public.
