Just before 8:00 am Friday morning, May 15th, officers with the Crescent City Police Department responded to a report of a physical altercation.
While responding, witnesses reported one subject was hitting another with a board. Upon Officers arrival, the victim was located with multiple injuries.
As Officers provided first aid to the victim who was then transported to Sutter Coast Hospital for treatment the suspect, 41-year-old Clifton Jones, was located in the vicinity and taken into custody without incident.
Jones was booked into the Del Norte County Jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
