Just before noon Wednesday, December 16th, Officers from the Crescent City Police Department responded to a report of a subject causing a disturbance in the parking lot of Grocery Outlet after throwing rocks at southbound vehicles on Hwy. 101.
33 year old Walter Wilson, ran from Crescent City Police Officers after initially being contacted near the intersection of 5th and L Streets, and was detained after a short foot pursuit. Wilson was detained and arrested on charges of obstructing, resisting, and delaying a Peace Officer in the performance of their duties. Wilson was then transported to the Del Norte Sheriff’s Office Jail to be booked.
The Crescent City Police Department is requesting any information and/or statements from drivers who may have been traveling through that area and had rocks thrown at their vehicles, or any witnesses to the incident.
