On Tuesday, November 27, at approximately 1:00 P.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 101 just north of North Bend.
Preliminary investigation shows that a Honda Accord, operated by 31-year-old Ashley Ridenour of Reedsport, was traveling southbound on Hwy 101 when for unknown reasons crossed the centerline and struck a Dodge pickup towing a travel trailer, operated by 72-year-old John Bohmfalk (72) of Coulee Dam, WA.
The driver of the Honda Accord, Ashley Ridenour, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
John Bohmfalk and his passenger, 68-year-old Vicki Bohmfalk also of Coulee Dam, WA. sustained minor injuries.
The crash scene is under investigation by the Oregon State Police.
