The Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a call to assist the U.S. Coast Guard early Friday evening, April 19th, with visually locating a stranded paddle boarder at Sunset Beach at 7:30pm.
A Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy responded and located the woman, stranded on a sand bar past the rocks at Sunset Beach.
The information was then relayed to the U.S. Coast Guard, who was not yet on the scene and with the help of a good Samaritan in a kayak, the U.S. Coast Guard, was able to rescue the woman unharmed.
