High temperatures will be trending cooler towards the start of August. Temperatures will be in the upper 80’s and lower 90’s for the west side valleys towards the end of the work week.

Understandably, people are seeking relief from the thick smokey skies. Satellite images showing the difference between July 31st of 2018 and July 31st of 2017.
If seeking less smoke is your goal, then heading north towards Eugene or the Central Oregon coast would be wise decisions. On Sunday, we’re expecting more southerly winds higher up in the atmosphere, so some of the higher thinner smoke will probably head north.
