Coast Stays Cool, but Little Relief Inland as Heat Advisories Continue

High temperatures are forecast to remain well above normal through the weekend and although temperatures aren’t expected to be a hot as they were Sunday/Monday, Heat Advisories from the National Weather Service remain in effect for most of the area through Saturday when high temperatures are expected to peak again.

Temperatures are forecast to warm up Friday through this weekend with the hottest daytime temperatures expected Friday and Saturday under hazy skies as smoke from surrounding fires drifts into the area. Triple digits are still forecast through the weekend reaching 103 in some areas with lows staying in the mid 60’s.

The coast will remain cool with little changes through the weekend. Early morning marine layer and localized fog will remain until late morning opening up to mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies warming in the afternoons. Low temperatures along the coast will remain in the mid 50’s with high temperatures reaching up to the low 70’s in some areas.
