Tuesday morning, January 21st, the U.S. Coast Guard Station Umpqua River received a call from the commmercial fishing vessel Yaznak that they had experienced a broken drive shaft north of the Umpqua bar.

A crew from U. S. Coast Guard Station Umpqua River responded and towed the fishing vessel toward Coos Bay, where a crew from U.S. Coast Guard Station Coos Bay relieved the tow and safely moored the vessel.
