Fall school sports programs continue to wade through the ‘new normal’ that is High School sports in this COVID-19 era.
On Thursday, November 12th, BHHS volleyball concluded five weeks of training with head Coach Lorinda Shew and assistant coach Vanessa Nidiffer. “It was challenging to practice in masks but the girls rose to it, working hard toward their season goals.” Coach Shew said.
Senior setter Shelby Jirsa leads the squad along with senior outside hitter Gracie Harms, junior Charlie Nolte, and sophomore outside hitter Ashlyn Schofield. Jo Pryor (libero) and right sides Jordan and Cameron Crosby as well as junior Skylar Gallagher have been coming out to get work in.
“We are hopeful to get a full season beginning in February and are hoping to finish with some league wins.”
The girls have been strengthening their attack and their blocking and should benefit from a veteran group.
