Coach Vanessa Nidiffer and her varsity Lady Bruin volleyball team closed out their season Tuesday evening on the road at the Sutherlin Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady Bruins struggled early with service return, coach Nidiffer said, and with the last game of the season and long road trip, the long season showed. As a team the Lady Bruins accumulated 20 digs, spread out among 5 players.
Offensively at the net, junior Ashlyn Schofield, senior Skylar Gallagher and sophomore Aleah Muro led the way with 9 of the teams 11 kills between the three.
After the match, coach Nidiffer told the Compass “It wasn’t the finish we wanted, but I reminded the team we need to look at the season as a whole and all of the great games we had and the strides we made together.”
