Clear Skies and Pleasant Temperatures to Finish Work Week, with Showers Possibly on the Horizon

The ridge of high pressure responsible for the pleasant weather we have been enjoying will keep the region enjoying mostly clear and sunny skies to end the workweek, however, as the ridge begins its move to the east, partly cloudy skies starting Saturday will cool temperatures and bring a wet weather system into the region behind the high pressure.

Inland areas can continue to expect mostly clear sunny skies into the weekend before the possibility of rain enters the forecast late Saturday and into Sunday. Low temperatures will close the week out in the mid 40’s to low 50’s with highs reaching the upper 80’s Friday, before off shore winds push cooler moister weather into the area.

Along the southern Oregon, northern California coast, mostly clear skies with an early morning marine layer are forecast to continue to end the work week before strong north northwest winds from 11 to 21 mph, gusting as high as 26 mph, push cool air from the north onshore bringing with it chances of precipitation possibly as early as late Saturday and into Sunday. Low temperatures are expected to be in the upper 40’s to low 50’s, with afternoon highs possibly reaching the 80’s to end the work week.
