Caltrans will be enacting nighttime closures along U.S. 101 south of Crescent City in Del Norte County in the Last Chance Grade from 8:00pm to 6:00am beginning Sunday night, January 17th.
This weather-permitting road work enacting the closures beginning Sunday night, is necessary to bring up the existing roadway grade and will continue for 6 consecutive nights.
The road closure greatly reduces the amount of time crews will be working in the area, which is scheduled to end the road closures the morning of Saturday, January 23rd.
Traffic will be permitted through the closure at least once per evening if possible, and emergency vehicles will be accommodated through the closure if necessary.
