Caltrans District 1’s nighttime pavement improvements on U.S. Route 199 will move through Hiouchi. While this work has already been in progress, Hiouchi residents and motorists traveling or commuting should prepare for delays as the job moves into the town of Hiouchi on Monday night.
One-way traffic control will be in effect in the area from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for three nights. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays and residents should anticipate project noise. We realize the delays and noise will be an inconvenience, but the end result will be worthwhile.
