The overnight full closures at Last Chance Grade on U.S. 101 south of Crescent City that began Saturday, January 17th have been completed and the night time Hwy. 101 closures have ended CalTrans announced.
Since Saturday, January 17th, Caltrans had been enacting night time closures along U.S. 101 south of Crescent City at Last Chance Grade from 8:00pm to 6:00am to expedite the completion of that portion of the project.
CalTrans crews worked steadily through the difficult weather conditions last week to finish bringing the existing roadway up to grade and continued for 6 consecutive nights.
