CalTrans announced Thursday that U.S. Hwy. 199 will be fully closed almost 3 miles from the 101 junction just north of Crescent City in Del Norte County, from 8:00am to 4:00pm, weekdays beginning Monday, December 13th for “inclement weather preparedness”.
The project is expected to be completed beginning Monday, December 20th, and motorists should use Route 197 as an alternate route. Residents needing to access Walker Road within the project area will be permitted safely through the closure.
