CalTrans reported Tuesday, December 5th, work continues at Last Chance Grade, and that intermittent one-way traffic control should be expected through Thursday on the coastal stretch of U.S. 101 south of Crescent City.
Crews have reportedly made great progress clearing slide debris from the slide area that closed U.S. 101 over the weekend. Spotters are constantly watching and flaggers are on standby to ensure the safety of travelers and workers.
With a storm approaching, periods of heavy rainfall should be expected to require one-way control traffic through the area. Expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
