The Lady Bruins will continue their brutal road trips today as they travel to Sutherlin to play the Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady Bruins are coming off of a 2-0 win against the South Umpqua Lady Lancers.
In the game at South Umpqua High School in Myrtle Creek, the Lady Bruin defense held it’s ground once again, with junior keeper Annie Nation recording another shut-out win.
Offensively the Lady Bruins struggled to break free as the Lady Lancers were not surprised by the Lady Bruin speed and have certainly adjusted their defense away from an offside trap at mid-field to counter the Bruin fast break.
The Lady Bruins striker Hannah James #5 scored both of the Lady Bruin goals in the game. Her first goal came off of a shot that the Lady Lancer goalkeeper mishandled after the initial save and ended up over the goal line. James’ second goal came off of a followed shot that deflected off the Sutherlin keeper with just 6:00 minutes left in the game.
Lady Bruin head coach Kyla Siri and her now 6-0 Lady Bruin soccer team will be on the road this weekend in another 3A/2A/1A-SD1 Special District non-league contest that will test the Lady Bruins against the OSAA ranked #1 Catlin Gable Lady Eagles at Hamlin Middle School in Springfield Oregon this Saturday at 1:00pm.
