Saturday morning at 12:39 am, units from Illinois Valley Fire District and Oregon Department of Forestry responded to a wildland fire at the intersection of Redwood Hwy and Laurel Rd.
The small fire was quickly extinguished and the scene was turned over to the Oregon Department of Forestry for mop up. The cause of the fire is under investigation by Oregon Department of Forestry.
As a reminder, the Fire Danger Level has been increased to Moderate.
• No Burning of debris at any time
• Campfires, Charcoal fires, Cooking fires, Warming fires are allowed in Designated Locations Only.
• Mowing of Dried Grass not Allowed 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
