The Brookings-Harbor varsity soccer team ended it’s pre-season schedule Thursday afternoon hosting the North Bend Bulldogs in a non-league contest with the Bruin season opener looming next week.

The 1-2 Bulldogs made the trip from North Bend Thursday afternoon and challenged the Bruins early breaking up plays in the mid field and limiting scoring opportunities.

Much of the second half was controlled by the Bruins, with many opportunities in front of the goal that the Bruin offense couldn’t get in the back of the net.

The Bruins scored twice, with senior Dylan Hodge #12 scoring first putting the ball in the back of the net for the Bruins. Junior Josh Serna #18 then got the ball to senior #10 Fabian Villa who sealed the 2-1 Bruin win.

Coach Beaman and the Bruins will begin league play next Thursday afternoon hosting the Gold Beach Panthers at 5:00pm.
