Bruins Varsity boys soccer pre-season began last week at the Phoenix Jamboree in Medford at US Cellular Field.

Second-year coach, Jess Beaman has some big shoes to fill.., his own, after debuting 9-1-1, falling one game short of the 4A league championship and garnering “Coach of the Year” honors.

Coach Beamans team took of three games in Medford and tied against Eagle Point and Hidden Valley.

Using these games to test his new team’s skill sets, moving some players out of position, Coach Beaman is working his team into game shape.

The Bruins will travel today to Marshfield who will undoubtedly be looking to establish themselves after dropping two games to the Bruins last year.
