Brookings-Harbor High School Sends Grads into the World

On a sunny, brisk June 9th Saturday afternoon, Brookings-Harbor High School unleashed 108 new graduates into society to make their mark on the world. This year’s graduating class is expected to reach the 80th percentile, the highest graduation rate for Brookings-Harbor High School in over a decade.

During this years ceremony, Savannah Goetze was presented as the classes Salutatorian by Superintendent Sean Gallagher.

The Class of 2018 was represented by Valedictorians Mia Adams and Emma Leonard who both gave moving speeches about moving forward and conquering adversities as they bid farewell to their “training wheels of life” and enter the next phases of their lives.

Senior class students once again selected economics and American government and policy teacher Gregory Scott as “Teacher of the Year.”

Principal Lisa Dion gave the Keynote address and Vice Principal Alex Merritt stole the show with his Bruin version of Kenny Rogers’ the Gambler.
