Recently, after returning from a fishing trip in Canada, Brookings Fire/Rescue Asst. Chief Tom Kerr visited the Oregon Volunteer Firefighters Association conference to accept an award that he was nominated for by his peers, his friends, and his firefighting family.
Asst. Chief Tom Kerr was awarded with the OVFA Lifetime Achievement Award. Chief Kerr for his 50 years of dedicated service to the residents of Brookings and Brookings Fire/Rescue. Asst. Chief Tom Kerr is still one of Brookings Fire/Rescue most active members. He has mentored and taught a lot of us past and present. And continues to do so today.
