The Brookings-Harbor High School Cheer team is excited to hold their annual youth cheer clinic on Saturday, January 20th!
Before Saturday’s clinic, the Cheer team will be visiting the Kalmiopsis students during all lunch recesses today, Wednesday, January 17th. During their visit to Kamiopsis, they will be promoting their cheer camp to those students who are interested in participating and also building positive relationships across age levels within our schools.
The Brookings-Harbor School District has implemented the Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program for over 10 years now, with the premise being that positive behavior is supported by students.
Last year the Brookings-Harbor High School Cheer team had a positive impact on the younger students and organizers are confident that the younger students will again enjoy the positive interaction with the older students.
The clinic is open to K-8th-grade students. Registration forms will go out this week and you can just bring your form and money and register at the door.
Registration for the Brookings-Harbor High School Cheer clinic begins Saturday morning at 8:30 am with the clinic from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the High School Cafeteria.
There will be a practice performance on Thursday, January 25th from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Gibney center at the High School.
The performance will be at halftime of the boy’s Varsity basketball game on Friday, January 26th.
The cost is $25 and includes a camp t-shirt. Hope to see you there! Go Bruins!
