BHHS Varsity Boys Soccer Sets Challenging Goals with Head Coach Jess Beaman

Brookings-Harbor varsity boys soccer head coach Jess Beaman and his 2021 team are excited to get this new season started after managing through what was a disjointed 2020 season filled with new protocols.

After the conclusion of last years season, we decided that a new direction was needed to bring more challenging games to the BHHS varsity team, and new Brookings-Harbor High School Athletic Director Keith Wallin has helped us do just that, head coach Beaman said,

As an example of this new start, after signing over 30 players and filling a JV program, we started off our season last Friday afternoon against a very talented Delphian Dragon team,  a private boarding school out of Sheridan Oregon.

In the past years our run-up to the season included competing over the summer in the off-season. But because of Covid sports reschedules last year, we were not able to participate in some of the normal tournaments that begin in June, so we are very excited to play some of these more challenging games.

We have a good mix of returning players and some new faces to introduce to our loyal fans. These new additions with our 6 returning seniors Fabian Villa and Dylan Hodge in midfield, Bryan Valdovinos and Miguel Ramos as forwards, and Seth Broberg and Jake Beaman on defense will be a formidable force once again in the 3A-5 Far West League this 2021 season, and we look forward to seeing you all out at the field for our home games. We could use all of the support we can get.
