Brookings-Harbor varsity girls volleyball finished a grueling 3 game in five day stretch last week, finishing it off Friday night, at home with a win.
Head coach Vanessa Nidiffer and her Lady Bruins traveled to Medford on Tuesday last week to take on the 6-1 Cascade Christian Lady Challengers. The Lady Bruins challenged Cascade Christian at the net, with Ashlyn Schofield with 18 kills at the net, helping the Lady Bruins take a hard earned set.
On Thursday the Lady Bruins hit the road again, traveling to Mrytle Creek to take on the South Umpqua Lady Lancers.
Friday night was volleyball night in Brookings-Harbor arena as the Lady Bruins hosted Douglas. The lady Bruins came out aggressive, attacking the net and hustling down loose opportunities.
The Lady Bruins led from the start of the first set, and the front line hammered the ball above the net, putting up points off of kills, and surprising the Lady Trojans with defense at the net.
The Lady Bruins dominated all 3 sets, taking the match in 3 straight sets on their way to the win.
Coach Nidiffer and the Lady Bruins will be at home Thursday evening for the last homegame of the season, hosting St. Mary’s at 6:00pm.
