One of four special district 3A wrestling duals held over the season took place in Brookings as head coach Marco Thorson and his Brookings-Harbor Bruin Wrestling program hosted three other teams Tuesday afternoon.

Four teams from around the area, including Gold Beach, South Umpqua and Sutherlin, made the trip to Brookings to compete in these important match ups in a format where all four schools square off to get wrestlers in position to qualify for the State Tournament at the end of the season.

Six Bruin wrestlers had matches Tuesday needing to place in the top 3 at the district tournament to qualify. The Bruins also had to girl wrestlers at the meet, however, they did not have opponents at this meet.
