BHHS Bruins Fall Sports All-League Selections Sponsored by Barron’s Home Furnishings

With Fall school sports programs now completed for the 2024 season, final selections for All-League honors have been released with many Bruins selected for recognition.  

The Bruin girls soccer team, after finishing their 2024 season in the second round of post season play had five selections with the Bruins girls head coach Brian Carlson taking ‘Coach of the Year’ honors.

Senior #10 Amelia Bruce, First Team All-League and an All-State Honorable Mention.
Freshman Sawuer Adams. #12, First Team All-League and an All-State Honorable Mention.
Sophomore Ellie Hanneman, #11, Second Team All-League.
Junior Avery Hodge, #7, Second Team All-League.
Junior Lexi Newman, #8, Honorable Mention.

Head Coach Shawn Bavaro’s Bruin boys football had six selections honored in 10 positions.

Senior Camryn Brown, #56, Second Team Offensive Line and Second Team Defensive Line.
Senior Michael Varitek, #8, Second Team Running Bsck and an Honorable Mention at Linebacker.
Sophomore, Owen Austin, #10, Second Team Wide Receiver, Honorable Mention at Defensive Back and an Honorable Mention at Kick Return.
Junior John Devereaux, #34, Honorable Mention at Tight End.
Junior, Kevin Hooper, #42 Second Team Defensive Back. 

Junior, Noah Spear, #78 also was selected with an Honorable Mention for Offensive Line.

The Bruins Girls Volley Ball team had two All-League Selections.

Senior Makenna Ratliff, #6, Second Team All-League.
Junior, Ella Reneau, #5, Second Team All-League.

Four members of the Bruin boys soccer team also received recognition.

Senior, Tanner Nelson, #4, First Team All-League.
Junior, Zander Carlson, #5, First Team All-League.
Senior, Edgar Garcia-Olivera, Second Team All-League.
Junior, RJ Hendrix, Honorable Mention at Goal Keeper.
