BHHS Boys Soccer League Champions… Start Play-Offs Today

The Brookings-Harbor boys varsity soccer team clinched another 3A/2A/1A-SD4 Special District 4 championship Saturday afternoon after defeating the South Umpqua Lancers 5-0 in one half of play before the Lancer coach and his team left the field.

The Bruins finished their 2021 season 9-0-1 scoring 61 goals in 10 games, which, most probably would have been significantly higher if the league had not implemented a mercy rule and 8 goals’.

Brookings-Harbor’s defense has been solid all year for coach Beaman, suffocating opponent offenses recording 8 shut-outs while allowing only 3 goals past them all season, an incredible 61 goals for and 3 goals against for the entire regular season.
