Azalea Lady Bruins Ready for JayCees Tournament this Weekend

On Monday evening, the Azalea Middle School Lady Bruin basketball team took to floor to take on the Ladys from Marshfield.

A more aggressive and determined AZ Lady Bruin team took on Marshfield, playing tough defense and working the ball into shooting situations. Talking with Coach Flowers after the game he said “the team took a big step forward tonight.”

The AZ Lady Bruins put five players in the scoring book with Haley Scrouf #25 leading all Lady Bruin scorers with 6 points from two 3 pointers.

Ellie Hedenskog #13 had 4 points on the night after sinking two baskets in the 2nd quarter.

Haley Scrouf #25 led all Lady Bruin scorers with 6 points from two 3 pointers.

Annika Malmberg #2, Silver Dollar #5 and Brynn Hodges finished off the AZ Lady Bruin scoring with each putting up 2 points in the game.

Ellie Hedenskog #13 breaking for the basket had 4 points in the game.

The AZ Lady Bruins will finish their season on the road, and will be headed to the JayCees Basketball Tournament in Crescent City this weekend.
