Azalea Bruin football took on the North Bend Bulldogs on Thursday afternoon, and a football game broke out.
The Bruins jumped out to a 16-0 lead on two rushing touchdowns from #34 Gavin Mills. But the Bulldogs weren’t going away easily and broke off a long rushing play with 4:00 minutes left in the first half, making the score 16-6 after missing the extra point.

The Bulldogs would take advantage of a Bruin miscue at the end of first half and would get another touchdown just before the end of the first half making the score 16-12 after failing to get the extra point once more.

The third quarter would have the Bulldogs score again taking a short-lived lead. But the Bruins would take control with some excellent individual efforts.

Behind some key blocks from Coach Thorsens offensive line, #34 Gavin Mills took the corner for yet another long rushing touchdown. Kallen Christiansen #4 would intercept a Bulldog pass, and then tear off a 65-yard touchdown run on a left side sweep on offense later in the game. The Azalea Bruins would go on to win the game with a final score of 38-32.
The Bruins are now boasting strong 3-1 record and will be on the road to Reedsport next week.
