The Azalea Bruins football team met up with Gold Beach Tuesday afternoon. Gold Beach got on the board early in the game on their first possession.
Gold Beach drove down the field behind their offensive line that opened holes for their running game and pushed the ball over the goal line just 4 minutes into the game.
The game then became a defensive battle as both teams tried to put together a sustained drive. Azalea suffered some miscues with the ball that set them back and took them out of positive situations throughout the game.
Azalea just could not stop the Gold Beach run game. Gold Beach would drive again late in the game and get into the endzone once again making the score 0-12.
Azalea will meet Powers/Bandon next Tuesday, October 7th at Bruin field.
