The Azalea Middle School Bruin football team closed out the 2020/2021 season finishing the final two games with wins to complete an undefeated 6-0 season.
The Riley Creek Cubs took on the AZ Bruins for the final game of the season with intentions of evening the series between the two teams at 1-1, but the AZ Bruins defense had different ideas and pressuring the Cubs on every possession recording 7 sacks and not allowing a first down the entire contest.
Offensively, the AZ Bruins scored 46 points, throwing for big gains and breaking open long runs for multiple touchdowns while the defense held the Cubs scoreless finishing the season with 224 offensive points while the defense allowed only 8 points for the season.
Talking with coach Daryn Farmer after the season, he said “We could not happier or more proud of this group of kids. Coaches Baron, Weaver, Austin and Myself would like to give a huge thank you to those who attended our games and supported this group of young men.”
