The Azalea Lady Bruins were home Tuesday night for their first game after the Thanksgiving break in a match up against Coquille.

AZ Lady Bruin Coach Flowers had three 7 grade players on the roster playing with the the 8th grade team bringing up #10 Amelia Bruce, #12 Reyna Hayes, and #32 Avery Nidifer.

The Lady’s from Coquille jumped out quickly running on the AZ Lady Bruins off of turnovers and rebounds and put 9 points on the board.

The AZ Lady Bruins created several opportunities to put up points, but unfortunate bounces and an unkind rim kept the Bruins off the scoreboard until late in the first half when 7th grader Amelia Bruce #10 hit a short range jumpshot to break the scoring drought.

The newly added players to the roster made their mark in the game as #32 Avery Nidifer got comfortable under the boards and fought for some AZ Lady Bruin rebounds under the basket while #10 Amelia Bruce led all AZ Lady Bruin scorers on the night dropping 6 points and running the AZ Lady Bruin offense off the bench.

The AZ Lady Bruins will play two more home games this week, one tonight (Wednesday) at 6:15pm against Redwood, and then again on Thursday night against at 5:15 against Bandon.
