Art Along the Rogue has become the premiere street painting and music festival in the Northwest, combining visual and performance art that is sure to please spectators of all ages. A variety of artists come out to line the streets with their artwork based on each year’s theme. Bands are lined up back to back on a stage downtown to keep the music rolling. There is lots to see and hear, so come ready to dance and watch an asphalt road transform into an eye-popping stream of pictures! Art Along the Rogue is hosted by the City of Grants Pass and is free to the public.
This years theme will be “Let’s Face It”. The goal behind the theme is to express the power of emotions as seen through the human face. Expressions speak louder than words and the human face can tell so many stories without saying anything. We want to capture and convey those emotions through art. We welcome other interpretations of what “Let’s Face It” means as well, such as “facing” a life experience. Whatever it may be, we look forward to seeing your illustrations, whether they be from a classic piece of art or your own illustration.
There will be chalk art street painting and musical performances from Friday through Sunday.
The event starts off with a concert on Friday, October 6th from 6 pm to 9:00 pm. Saturday & Sunday starting at 9:00 am each day.
