Arrest Warrant Issued After 1 ½ Pounds of Fentanyl Located

During the months of February and March the the Humboldt County Drug Task Force received information that large quantities of fentanyl were being sold in Humboldt County.  

Subsequently, a multi-location search warrant was served by the Humboldt County Drug Task Force Thursday, March 27th at two residences located in Eureka.

Upon the arrival of Humboldt County Drug Task Force Agents at both locations associated with the individual identified as 49 year old Gabriel Zachariah Giraud, Agents located 1 ½ pounds of fentanyl, packaging materials, scales, pipes, and other drug paraphernalia, however, Giraud was not present at either location. 

At the conclusion of this investigation, the Humboldt County Drug Task Force will be requesting an arrest warrant for Giraud for multiple charges including, Possession of narcotics for the purpose of sales, Operating/maintaining a drug house, and Elder/dependent adult abuse.
