Armed Robbery in Eugene Leads to Pursuit, SWAT and Arrest in Coos Bay

At 9:45pm, Thursday, March 6th, Eugene Police responded to a robbery reported at a restaurant on West 11th Avenue after an unknown man robbed the location of cash at gunpoint and left.  

The Property Crimes Unit detectives with the Eugene Police Department took over the investigation upon arrival, quickly identifying a Coos Bay individual as a suspect in the case.  

A search warrant for the suspect, identified as 61 year old Coos Bay resident, Andre Kevin Outland, was obtained from a judge and the Coos Bay Police Department with other surrounding agencies assisted the Eugene Police Department with the case in Coos Bay.  

A vehicle associated with Outland was located in Coos Bay and Coos County Metro SWAT attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle failed to yield, and a pursuit was initiated before Outland was subsequently stopped and arrested.  

The Coos County Metro SWAT team then responded to the residence and secured the scene as Eugene Police detectives followed up on the search warrant and numerous items of evidence from the robbery were recovered during the search.

Outland was charged with Robbery in the First Degree, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use Weapon, and Menacing.
