As high pressure begins to weaken over the area, cooler temperatures are forecast into the weekend. However, smoke and haze from local fires will extend Air Quality Alerts all the way to the coast.
Near surface smoke will improve over much of the area Friday night, and higher level smoke will gradually reduce Saturday across the area. Through this week, smoke from wildfires will continue to affect portions of the area though and result in periods of reduced air quality.
Inland temperatures will remain steady throughout the weekend with high temperatures staying in the low 90’s and lows in the low 60’s with Air Quality Alerts across southern Oregon.
On the coast, patchy morning fog will open up to partly cloudy skies and haze from surrounding wildfires. Temperatures will remain relatively cool with highs in the upper 60’s to low 70’s in some areas, and lows in the low 50’s.
