After Two Tough Non League Games, Bruin Girls on the Road to North Valley

Sophomore right handed pitcher Ellie Armstrong, #10, went 5 innings, striking our 6.

After sweeping the Lady Chieftains Bruin girls softball last week in league play, the Bruin girls and head coach Tony Baron started this week with two non league contests.

The first in Crescent City against the strong Del Norte Lady Warriors and the second, Thursday afternoon, against a very good Hidden Valley Lady Mustangs team.

The Lady Mustangs made the trip to the coast from Grants Pass coming off their own four game win streak and wasted no time jumping out to a 0-3 lead to start the game,

The Bruin girls offense struggled to keep pace managing just one hit in the game, falling behind early and never recovering after Hidden Valley put up points in every inning except the third, establishing a substantial lead.

The Bruin girls will resume league play today, Friday, on the road, traveling to Grants Pass to take on the North Valley Lady Knights with the first pitch scheduled for 4:30pm.
