Addictions Recovery Center Catches Fire

A structure fire on East Main St. in Medford Sunday afternoon occurred in the single story wood-framed commercial business office of an Addictions Recovery Center.

The Addictions Recovery Center building was not residential and was used for outpatient needs and educational purposes.

The blaze, with visible flames escaping through the roof burned for close to an hour before fire personnel could bring it under control and fire damage was mostly confined to the attic.

There building was empty at the time and there were no reported civilian injuries, however, one firefighter was transported with a fire ground related injury.

The fire is currently under investigation for origin and cause.
